Background History

Knott's Berry Farm was a farm owned by Walter and Cordelia Knott that has been opened since 1920. Throughout the years, Walter Knott has successfully raise his berry farm and even was associated with discovering and selling the first boysenberry. They later became very well known and famous for their tasty boysenberries they sold and evetually became the family trademark. Another family trademark was the Chicken Dinner Resturant and during the 1940's, the resrurant was serving as many as 4,000 on Sunday evenings. For the customers who were waiting, Walter later constructed what is known as Ghost Town with may activities. Later throughout the years, additions to ghost town were develpoed and soon enough, the first rides to the park were constructed.

As time went on, the park was introduced to many new rides and activites. Camp Snoopy was constructed later on and became the first theme park to have a land inspired by a charcater. Cedar Fair now owns the park and has expanded to what it is now. They continue to add new rides and activities to the park while maintaining the classic features that the park brings to people.
